Ensure students are prepared
Provide resources to remind students of the assessment environment and minimum technical requirements. Ensure that these are provided with adequate lead time and that students are made aware of them.
Cut-off Time
The Cut-off Time should be adjusted according to the size of the exam cohort. Larger cohorts may have more students experiencing technical barriers to exam entry and require a longer allowance for all students to resolve any issues and then complete onboarding. Generally, the Cut-off Time is set around 30 minutes.
Naming Exams
Consistent naming rules will make it easier to sort and find Exams in longer lists. Consider appending the term and year after the Exam Name, so that related Exams appear together in a list of all Exams.
For example: You might choose to use the format SUBJECT CODE - EXAM NAME - YEAR - TERM, which would result in a list of exams:
