A list of events triggered by broken exam rules which require incidents to be reported.
Students can be flagged for a range of incident types that may indicate that an exam rule has been broken. If a student accesses Technical Support it will also be recorded.
While an incident might be reported, this does not necessarily mean that the student is guilty of academic misconduct. An Incident Report will be prepared for each recorded incident, with a summary of what occurred.
These are incident types that might indicate rules being broken:
Moderate
- Attempts to copy/paste or print
- Background noise
- Looking off screen
- Being out of webcam view
- Suspicious head movement
- Testing area disturbance
High
- Mobile phone detected
- Unauthorised browser use
- Unauthorised device interference
- Unauthorised materials detected
- Unauthorised person detected
- Unpermitted break
Critical
- Academic misconduct
- Disruptive behaviour
- Disobeying instructions
